Bio

Ray is a research technician and graduate student focusing on underwater acoustics and ecological research. He moved to North Carolina to pursue his studies and passion for fisheries. Beyond research, he is an avid fisherman and enjoys maintaining multiple aquariums with various marine fish.

Using passive acoustics to examine local biodiversity impacts around oyster farms

  • Trophic impacts of invasive blue catfish in Albemarle Sound, NC
  • Incidence of the black gill parasite infection in multiple shrimp species within Pamlico Sound.
  • Hourglass Climate fisheries ecology trawl survey
